First Black Miss Universe Britain crowned

Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers, who hails from Anguilla, was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain. She is the first Black woman to receive the honour since the inception of the pageant. Dee-Ann, who is also a law school graduate will be representing Great Britain at the Miss Universe pageant later this year. An emotional Kentish-Rogers, who is the reigning queen of Anguilla said,“I think it’s really humbling and I think it’s also a privilege for me to become the first Black woman who is crowned Miss Universe Great Britain.”
