Lara Dutta celebrates 20 years of her Miss Universe title

Beauty queen-turned-Bollywood actress Lara Dutta walked down the memory lane and celebrated her Miss Universe 2000 victory day on May 12, 2020 through a series of pictures on her Instagram. She wrote, "20 years to the day!! 12 th May 2000, Nicosia, Cyprus. What a wonderful gift to receive from the universe! One I’m eternally grateful for 🙏🙏. @missindiaorg @missdivaorg @timesofindia @missuniverse #MilleniumsMissUniverse." Lara Dutta was the second Indian to win the coveted Miss Universe crown. Before her, Sushmita Sen won the title in 1994. When Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe 2000, Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World pageant and Dia Mirza won Miss Asia Pacific title in the same year.
