It was announced on a tv network on July 31, 2018, that Emmy award winner Steve Harvey will return to host the Miss Universe 2018 pageant. The pageant is to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on December 16, 2018. Previously, Steve had become a sensation online after he named the wrong winner during the pageant. After his goof up, Harvey said, "Nobody feels worse about this than me.” Steve isn't the only returning individual to the pageant, current Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa will be present to crown her successor.
