India's Vartika Singh finished second runner up at the Miss Grand International 2015 pageant, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday. Vartika also won the sub-contest 'Best in Social Media' among the 78 contestants from all over the world. In the final question and answer round, Miss Grand India 2015 Vartika Singh was asked who the most influential person in her life was. Vartika replied, "An eye for eye will make the whole world go blind. A simple man inspired the whole world, Mahatma Gandhi. He led India towards freedom singlehandedly by following Ahimsa (Non violence). If one person can take an initiative and make such an impact, if I go on to win the coveted title, I would promote Ahimsa (non-violence) too."

The overall winner, 20 year old Anea Garcia from Dominican Republic won the coveted title of Miss Grand International 2015. Anea Garcia who is pursuing a double major in Legal Studies and Philosophy was not only crowned the winner at the event but also won 40,000 USD. Australia's Claire Elizabeth Parker won the 1st runner up spot and 6,000 USD, while India's Vartika Singh bagged the 2nd runner up spot with 4,000 USD. Parul Shah from Philippines won the 3rd runner up spot with 3,000 USD. Rattikorn Kunsom of Thailand was adjudged the 4th runner up at the event winning 2,000 USD.

Vartika Singh bagged the Best Social Media award & 1,000 USD, while Parul Shah from Philippines won the Best National Costume and 2,000 USD. Costa Rica won the best Swimsuit award and 2,000 USD. Sri Lanka won the coveted Miss Popular vote award taking her directly into the top 10 of Miss Grand International 2015 and 1,000 USD. Japan won the Best Evening Gown award and 2,000 USD.
