Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty's son Mahaakshay was booked for allegedly raping an actress and forcing her into an abortion when she got pregnant. Mithun's wife Yogita Bali was also named as an accused in the FIR. According to reports, a woman filed a complaint against Mahaakshay. She alleged that Mahaakshay called her to his house in May 2015 and served her a soft dring spiked with a sedative. He then allegedly raped her. The woman further stated in her complaint that Mahaakshay repeatedly exploited her sexually on the pretext of a false promise of marriage. In 2018, Mahaakshay eventually married actress Madalasa Sarma. The victim had also filed a complaint before a court in Delhi in 2018. The court ordered Mumbai Police to conduct a probe as the alleged offence took place in its jurisdiction.
