The jail houses several involved in sensitive cases like German Bakery bomb blast convict Himayat Mirza Baig, 2003 Mumbai twin blast convicts Ashrat Ansari and Haneef Sayeed, 1993 convict, Yaqoob Memon, and convicts belonging to a saffron group in the Thane and Vashi bomb blasts.

Sources said Dutt and his friend, Yusuf Mohsin Nullwala, will not be sent to Kolhapur or any other prison due to political pressure. "They will most probably be kept at Yerawada," said a source.
