1940s- Madhubala, famous for her role in Mughal-e-Azam, is considered one of the most beautiful actresses of Indian cinema. Madhubala had her own way of wearing a saree. Her saree was of a light colour with a soft fabric. The pallu was either tucked to her right waist, or left free. The trend of full length anarkali suits was also started by her.
