In 1987, Matthew Broderick and his then girlfriend and Day Off co-star Jennifer Grey were on a vacation in Ireland. Broderick mistakenly drove the wrong way on a street and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. The driver and passenger in the other car died from their injuries.
