Their love hate relationship that has now stretched on for years has made headlines at the slightest flutter. A brawl at Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008 saw the two part ways for five years and divided the entire film industry in two rigid and impregnable camps. They have recently hugged and made up, in what seems the biggest 'frenemy' coup of the year. King Khan has taken the bonhomie a step further by inviting Dabangg Salman for an Iftaar party later this week, thus silencing speculations that the hug was a one off stray event.

Once best friends, these two have gone through a phase when each would steer clear of attending a social do where the other was present. During a feud in 2006 Hilton called Lohan a "firecrotch" for exposing herself on nights-outs without underwear. Once when confronted with one another at a pre-Grammy bash at Avalon in 2008, they openly abused each other. Ashutosh Gowariker and Sajid Khan: They had an ugly altercation at an awards ceremony, the entire nation witnessed it. Looking back, Sajid's comment about Ashutosh's hero Harman Baweja in Love Story 2050 had triggered the fight. Ashutosh then voiced his displeasure about Sajid's puerile humour. When Sajid told him that the organisers gave the jokes to him, Ashutosh ordered him to shut up. Sajid then said, "Kisika baap bhi mujhe shut up nahi bol sakta!" This baap of all fights apparently ended over dinner at Shah Rukh Khan's residence.
