Every point of her career had been a journey and learning experience. From winning Miss India UK she got self-confidence on stage and off, it provided her chance to travel and meet people from different countries.
Deana Uppal, a model, actress, philanthropist and entrepreneur. She is a former beauty queen (Miss India UK) and runs a charitable establishment - DKU Kindness Diaries Trust in Jaipur, India.
She studied film making from London Film Academy and directed various music videos as she feels that directing and producing side of work utilities to her potential more and this way she has more control in the creative section of how the project will be.
Recently she directed, produced and hosted a documentary- India's Forgotten People where she came across the nomadic tribal community of Rajasthan, India that were living in a unique way. The community were unknown to people because of the lack of identification, they couldn't get any government help. She came on the conclusion to make her first documentary on it and arranged a team of local and researching on it. They shot different areas and took 1.5 years to capture their lives. For her, this was the most challenging and rewarding project. Now, this documentary is on various channels worldwide.
She has set up a charitable trust- DKU kindness diaries where she is supporting poverty struck families, and in near future, she decided to open a school and provide education to below poverty line children.
