Ram-Leela: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Ram-Leela ran into trouble when the court banned its release because the movie hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus as it contained sex, violence and vulgarity. Apparently, after a high voltage drama, the stay order was lifted and movie went on to become one of the top grosser of 2013.

My Name Is Khan: Shah Rukh Khan starrer My Name Is Khan ran into political controversies ahead of its release. It was reported that Shah Rukh was harassed by the immigration officers in the USA, who went there to promote his movie. In fact, he also ran into trouble with Shiv Sena when he spoke about Pakistani cricketers not coming to play in the Indian Premiere League, resulting in burning of movie posters and attacks on cinema halls.
