Pictures of Pakistani actress Resham go viral after she gets slammed for throwing plastic in river

Pakistani actress Resham made headlines after her video of throwing plastic in a river went viral on the internet. Fans got furious and the actress got slammed by a few netizens. Resham said that she went to feed the aquatic animals but it all went wrong. Later, she apologised and blamed "COVID-related brain fog". While sharing a video, Resham said she did not do it intentionally. She also said that it was her career’s biggest mistake and that it will never repeat. Resham captioned the video as, “I’m sorry 🙏🏻.” During an interview, Resham also said, “Violence against women is commonplace, yet, everyone’s blinded by a piece of plastic. They are dwelling in a fool’s paradise. I was merely offering sadqah (charity).” On the work front, Resham has worked in several popular movies and has won several accolades including the National Award for Best Actress for ‘Sangam’ (1997) and Nigar Best Actress Award for ‘Jannat Ki Talash’ (1999).
