Indian fan Charulata Patel, who had taken the internet by storm after her pictures during the India vs Bangladesh cricket match from the ICC World Cup 2019 went viral on social media, has passed away. BCCI took to Twitter and wrote,тАЬ#TeamIndiaтАЩs Superfan Charulata Patel ji will always remain in our hearts and her passion for the game will keep motivating us. May her soul rest in peace.тАЭ Her official Instagram page, which is known by the name тАШCricket DaadiтАЩ, confirmed the news. The post read, тАЬIt is with a heavy heart that I inform you, our beautiful grandmother took her final breath on 13/01 at 5.30pm.тАЭ Earlier, Charulata was seen blowing trumpets and cheering with the crowd for Team India. Post match, India skipper Virat Kohli went up to the old lady and thanked her for her support. He also took to Instagram and wrote, тАЬAlso would like to thank all our fans for all the love and support and especially Charulata Patel ji. She's 87 and probably one of the most passionate and dedicated fans I've ever seen. Age is just a number, passion takes you leaps and bounds. There was only love and blessings for the whole team in her eyes. What an inspiration. With her blessings, on to the next one.ЁЯЩПЁЯП╝ЁЯШЗЁЯЩПЁЯШЗтАЭOpener Rohit Sharma had also met Charulata and took her blessings. Patel was seen talking to both the players for a long time, and then ended the conversation by blessing, hugging and kissing them. While talking to ANI, Charulata had said, тАЬI am a very religious person and have so much trust in God. So, when I pray, it comes true and I am saying that India is going to get the World Cup, definitely.тАЭ Patel had further stated that she was also present when India lifted their first World Cup, back in 1983, under the leadership of former cricket Kapil Dev. тАЬI have been there. When they won the World Cup, I was so proud, I started dancing. And today also, I told my granddaughter that when India is going to defeat Bangladesh, I am going to dance," she added.
