Renowned Marathi, Hindi films and stage actress Ashalata Wabgaonkar passed away after a four-day battle with Covid-19 at a private hospital in Satara. She was 79. She was in a critical condition when admitted to a private hospital in Maharashtra and was undergoing treatment since September 17, 2020. Popularly known as Ashalata, the Goa-born actress had reportedly contracted the infection during the shootings of a teleserial. "Her condition worsened on Monday evening and she was put on ventilator support. She breathed her last today morning," a senior doctor from the hospital said. (All photos: Instagram)
Reportedly, Ashalata contracted Covid-19 a week ago while shooting for a mythological show.
