Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who is the most recorded artiste in human history, passed away at a hospital in Mumbai. She was 92 and survived by her four siblings. Lata Mangeshkar was hospitalised on January 11 after she was detected with coronavirus. People from all walks of life paid their tribute the iconic singer. "I am anguished beyond words. The kind and caring Lata Didi has left us. She leaves a void in our nation that cannot be filled. The coming generations will remember her as a stalwart of Indian culture, whose melodious voice had an unparalleled ability to mesmerise people.," Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted. In 1974, the Guinness Book of Records listed Lata Mangeshkar as the most recorded artiste in human history, stating that she had recorded "not less than 25,000 solo, duet and chorus-backed songs in 20 Indian languages" between 1948 and 1974.
