The former captain of the Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni sparked a frenzy on social media after he announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on 15 August 2020. MS Dhoni shared a video with some memorable on-field moments and wrote,"Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired." Fans and friends filled social media with their heartwarming messages for the former captain of the Indian cricket team. Suresh Raina, who has considers Dhoni as an elder brother, also announced his retirement on Instagram. Cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and even captain Virat Kohli shared messages on social media. Kohli wrote, "Every cricketer has to end his journey one day, but still when someone you've gotten to know so closely announces that decision, you feel the emotion much more. What you've done for the country will always remain in everyone's heart......but the mutual respect and warmth I've received from you will always stay in mine. The world has seen achievements, I've seen the person. Thanks for everything skip. I tip my hat to you Clapping hands signFlag of India @msdhoni." At present Dhoni and other members of the Chennai Super Kings’ are at the training camp at M. Chidambaram Stadium preparing for the 2020 IPL series in UAE.
