The Indian women's hockey team won the FIH Women's Nations Cup 2022 beating Spain 1-0. The tournament was held in Valencia, Spain. Basking in the glory of the triumph, the team members were pictured with the trophy and medals.

The Indian women's team won the Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the final. Post the win, BCCI announced that India's centrally contracted women cricketers will now be receiving the same match fee as the male cricketers in the country for all international matches' appearances under the board's new pay equity policy.
