Devotees gathered at Hebbal Lake to celebrate Chhath Puja

A host devotees descended in the waters of Hebbal Lake gathered to celebrate Chhath Puja, which is an ancient Hindu festival, dedicated to Lord Surya (Sun God) and Chhathi Maiya. It’s a Vedic festival often observed by the people of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. The god of light, energy and life force is worshipped for well-being and prosperity.
