Hundreds of Bengalureans gathered at Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground to commemorate Independence Day. City folk held flags, donned face paintings and participated in the celebrations enthusiastically. The cultural shows and stellar march-pasts enthralled the audience. The parade saw the participation of visually challenged students. The event also featured acrobatics, Kalaripayattu performances, which drew a lot of cheer from the audiences and the march-past by the dog squad was quite the crowd favourite.
