The Mango Mela, held in Bengaluru over the weekend, presented a whole lot of mango-based concoctions and dishes. The event was organised at Bengaluru’s Lalbagh Botanical Garden by the Karnataka State Mango Development and Marketing Corporation. Wide varieties of mango like Badami (alphonso), Raspuri, Sakkargutthi, Sendhoora, Mallika, Malgova and Imam Pasand were available at the mela where mango lovers directly purchased the fruits from the farmers. Not just mangoes, the cafeteria menu also featured mango-based delicacies such as aam panna, mango sandwich, mango dosa, mango ice gola, mango shrikhand, and aamras puri.
