Mylapore Festival: A celebration of culture

The four-day Mylapore festival in this vibrant Margazhi month of music, dance and festivity was packed with culture, art, food, and fun. Mylapore, which is the quintessence of all things Madras, was humming with activities and performances, from breath-taking kolam and rangoli patterns decorating the roads to cultural performances and kutcheries in the park, heritage walks, a craft bazaar, and a lip-smacking array of food items. Having gone missing for two years because of the pandemic, the festival’s return to Chennai’s culture-scape was celebrated with much gusto and enthusiasm.
