Spring festival 'Shigmotsav' begins in Goa

Shigmotsav in Goa was a festive time with major cities and towns donning a colourful garb, with the traditional floats making their way on designated roads. The Shigmotsav saw the streets decked with statues and décor, reverberating with the beats of dhols. Brightly coloured and lit floats majorly depicted Indian mythological scenes. The onlookers, too inspired by the dhol beats, swung into dance, some matching the local folk dance steps of the performers in the parade.
