Artist Vishali Bawa welcomed art enthusiasts to ‘Prismatic’, a three-day exhibition at ‘The Bombay Art Society’. The event was inaugurated by Padma Shri ‘Shri Bhalu Mondhe’ and was also attended by scriptwriter and filmmaker Rumi Jaffery. Vishali Bawa said, “A person’s emotional strength is often defined by their ability to portray a strong front no matter how they feel. We live in a world mired by societal prejudices, constantly nudging us to suppress our feelings or, at the very least, replace the genuineness of our emotions with superficiality. This, in turn, can be detrimental to our mental well-being. I intend to provide my audience the space and time to introspect and tune in to their inner voice, to understand, accept, address, and express how they feel when they see an artwork. Through my artworks, the beholders will be transported into a world where they can experience, concede to, and celebrate their emotions.”
