Ricky Kej, a three-time Grammy Award winner, enthralled the audience with his live performance at the famous Gateway of India in Mumbai. The National Gallery of Modern Art's (NGMA) 'NGMA Amrit Mahotsav Video Anthem', written by Ricky and performed by Siddharth Basrur and IP Singh, was unveiled at the event. The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and NGMA hosted a live concert by Ricky Kej and his troupe. This was his first concert in the city after he won his third Grammy award. The free concert was part of 'Mumbai Kaustubh', a special initiative for the development of cultural spaces in the city, said Nazneen Banu, director of NGMA Mumbai. Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture was the chief guest. The concert was also attended by Brinda Miller, Preeti Jhangiani and Parvin Dabas. The audience was spellbound as Ricky and his group of musicians, which also included Siddharth Basrur, I P Singh, Deepak, Pramath Kiran, Varijashree Venugopal, and Sudhir Yaduvanshi, performed songs like ‘Dub Kunakol’, ‘Rang Do’, ‘Jai Kisan’, ‘Ganga’, ‘Shine Your Light’ and ‘Duma Dum Mast Kalandar’, among others, for the crowd. A special instrumental rendition of the Indian national anthem brought the immersive concert to an end.
