​In pics: Celebrating the Treasured Khadi of India on India Day during London Fashion Week

On February 17, 2023, the High Commission of India in London, INIFD, and LST presented a spectacular showcase at "India Day" during London Fashion Week. The show was a celebration of "handspun and handwoven fabric, which was profoundly associated with the country's freedom: the signature fabric of India - Khadi!" Emerging INIFD designers set a true example of women's empowerment, with all female designers showcasing two shows. The first show, designed on the basic principles of deconstruction, presented 40 garments. The second show was a presentation of 25 spectacular garments with a common element: Khadi. The showcase at London Fashion Week was witnessed by the Honourable High Commissioner Mr Vikram K Doraiswami, Deputy High Commissioner Mr Sujit Ghosh, and other eminent international delegates. The High Commissioner honoured the emerging INIFD designers who showcased their collections at London Fashion Week at India House in London.
