Leyna Bloom's modeling career started at the same time she came out as trans. She has walked in 2017's New York Fashion Week- the first time the fashion show welcomed such diversity. That same year, the model became the first openly transgender woman of colour to appear on the cover of Vogue India. Two years later, in 2019, her feature film debut in 'Port Authority' at the Cannes Film Festival was the first time a trans woman of colour was in a leading role of a movie feature at a major film festival. That's not it! In 2021, Bloom became the first trans woman of colour to grace the cover of 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2021.'
