After a gap of six years, Mumbai once again had the opportunity to host Manish Malhotra’s couture collection. Talking about his collection, Manish said, “My collection is called Zween which translates to beautiful and spectacular in Arabic. The colour palette and motifs are inspired by the sand dunes and deserts of Arabia. We‘ve used 3D textures, flowers and intricate embroidery with Middle Eastern influences which have been introduced in Indian couture for the first time.” The show was intricately detailed and Manish had taken care of many things personally. Salman Khan and the beautiful Katrina Kaif were the showstoppers for Manish Malhotra as they walked the ramp and showcased his designs. When asked about his choice of the showstoppers, Manish said, “There is a reason why I chose Salman-Katrina as the show stoppers. The simple reason is that hold a place in Bollywood as beautiful actors and are superstars. Moreover both are humble and exude a subtle elegance that reflects in their fashion choices."
