The new NW-A35 is equipped with five POSCAP capacitors that strengthen the power supply for the S-Master HX digital amplifier. This helps in cutting distortion and noise across a wide range of frequencies. Furthermore, the Walkman player has two clock oscillators that can be switched to provide optimal modulation for the sampling frequencies of audio content. This is claimed to increase the sound clarity and improve stereo effect.

Sony Walkman NW-A35 has a 3.1-inch touchscreen and an intuitive user interface with side keys for convenient controls. It also offers a noise cancellation feature which helps the users listen to music without raising the volume levels excessively.
