Asus has launched the battery-focus smartphone, Zenfone 3 Max in India. The dual-SIM supporting device comes in two variants based on screen size and resolution, processor, RAM and camera. While the variant bearing the model number ZC553KL is more powerful out of the two and is priced at Rs 17,999, the other variant - ZC520TL - costs Rs 12,999.

Amongst specifications, the highlight of the Zenfone Max 3 is its massive 4,100mAh battery that is rated to deliver about 30 days of standby time and upto 20 hours of talktime on 3G as per the company. The handset also acts as a power bank, and comes with a USB OTG cable to enable users to connect and charge other devices. Although the battery capacity is lower than other competitors, such as Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, or Gionee Marathon M5, Asus claims that the device still runs for over one day on regular use.

Both variants run on Zen UI 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Apart from supporting 4G LTE, 3G RAM, and a fingerprint sensor, the handset also has 32GB inbuilt storage capacity. The variants sport a metal unibody design with 'diamond cut' chamfered edges and a 2.5D contoured glass.

The variant bearing model number ZC553KL features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display with an inbuilt Bluelight filter. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505. On the storage front, apart from sporting an inbuilt memory capacity of 32GB, the memory can be amped up to 128GB with the help of a micro-SD card.
