South Korean mobile maker Samsung has launched a new tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1, even it battles a 2.5 billion dollar patent trial against tech giant Apple.

In addition, Samsung has opted to retain a look, which it introduced in 2011 placing wider bezels along two of the device's sides. The feature was created after a German court temporarily banned earlier models for infringing Apple's tablet design, the report said.

The iPhone-maker had reportedly accused Samsung of "slavishly" copying its iPhone and iPad designs, while the latter responded by filing a suit, accusing Apple of unlawfully using the 3G technologies patented by it.
Apple is also claiming a total of 2.5 billion dollars in damages and royalty fees for seven patent breaches, in addition to other trade violations, by Samsung.
