The Steppe Eagle is native to southern Russia, Central Asia and Mongolia, but during winter, migrates to Africa and India, where it’s confused with its relative the Tawny Eagle. He prefers to scavenge for food, and at times, will hunt small rodents and mammals up to the size of a rabbit. The mews is home to a variety of species of hawks, buzzards, falcons, eagles and owls.
