Indian cinema, in the past decade and beyond has witnessed quite a few movie adaptations from books. Let's take a look at the list of films which were inspired from books and transformed into a celluloid experience for all to marvel: Saat Khoon Maaf: A black comedy-cum-thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, 7 Khoon Maaf was adapted from Ruskin Bond's short story, Susanna's Seven Husbands features Priyanka Chopra in the main lead and seven male actors opposite her.

2 States: The latest celluloid adaption in Bollywood is of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller 2 States. With production still in the process, the film features two of the industry's new hot and happening stars - Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The movie is set to release in April next year.
