Amidst COVID-19 breakout, movie releases have been pushed forward to a later date, or they are launched on OTT platforms. It is believed that profits earned from the online release may differ compared to theatre release. Considering the lockdown has changed the way how movies are viewed now; there is a possibility that the budgets to make a movie may cost low. However, looking back at the glorious days before the virus hit the industry, 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' is the highest-grossing movie in the year 2020 and first Bollywood blockbuster of the decade. The movie was released on the same day as Chhapaak on January 10, 2020; but latter failed at the box-office. 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' was directed by Om Raut, starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, Kajol, Neha Sharma, Luke Kenny, Ajinkya Deo and others. The story is based on Tanhaji Malusare who commands Shivaji's Maratha Army to attack an intruding Mughal cavalry. Ajay Devgn plays the role of Tanhaji. Ajay-Atul, Sachet-Parampara and Mehul Vyas composed the music in the movie with lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire and Anil Verma.
