Rumour has it that Jim Carrey will now play Joker in the next two sequels of the Warner Bros production. Joaquin Phoenix's 'Joker' bagged several awards in numerous categories. The Warner Bros were uncertain about the movie to be a hit, but now that movie did well on box office, they are planning its sequel. Jim Carrey might play the older version of Joker. Previously, Jim Carrey played the role of the villain Riddler in the 1995 movie 'Batman Forever'. Earlier, talks were going on between the makers and Phoenix for the next two sequels, which would be actor's biggest paycheque of $50 million. It looks like Joker is not the only villain the makers want to introduce; there are many more under DC Comics. However, Joker is one of the sought-after characters in the Batman series. From games, series to movies, the character has been played by multiple actors including Joaquin Phoenix, Zach Galifianakis, Jared Leto, Troy Baker, Michael Emerson, Brent Spinner, John DiMaggio, Heath Ledger, Heath Ledger, Steve Blum, Jeff Bennett, Kevin Michael Richardson, Mark Hamill, Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero.
