After the demise of the Jurassic World theme park on Isla Nublar off Central America's pacific coast, the dinosaurs roam freely on the island for three years[7] until an impending volcanic eruption threatens their existence. Former Jurassic World Operations Manager Claire Dearing creates a dinosaur rescue organization called the Dinosaur Protection Group and teams up with Benjamin Lockwood, the former partner of John Hammond, to bring the creatures to a sanctuary in America.[8] Claire's boyfriend Owen Grady, a former dinosaur trainer at the park, joins the mission to locate Blue,[8] the last of the Velociraptors that he trained.[9][10] However, after Isla Nublar is destroyed by the eruption, Claire and Owen are betrayed and learn about a greater scheme that emerges when the creatures are being auctioned away at Lockwood's estate. Disaster strikes when an incredibly dangerous and intelligent hybrid dinosaur, the Indoraptor, escapes and begins a reign of terror across the estate.
