Meg

A huge creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving the crew trapped at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Jonas Taylor played by Jason Statham saves the crew from a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon. The movie is based on 'Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror', written by Steven Robert Alten. He is an American science-fiction author, known for his Meg series of novels set around the fictitious survival of the megalodon, a giant, prehistoric shark. The creature is shown as the most ferocious predator in the history of the animal kingdom who weighs twenty tons and could tear apart a Tyrannosaurus rex in seconds.
