The Bombay Management Association on Friday conferred the Entrepreneur of the Year Award on Vineet Jain, MD, Times Group, for his role in transforming the group into India's largest and most respected media conglomerate and a powerhouse in radio, television and the digital medium, besides building successful new brands in the print space.

Dedicating the award to his brother Samir Jain, vice-chairman, Times Group, Vineet Jain said; "Times Group is a nursery for coming up with concepts that no one has thought up in the media industry. Our recent initiative 'Alive' is another case in point.

Other awardees included Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries (Management Woman Achiever), Dilip Shanghvi, MD, Sun Pharmaceuticals ( Management Man of the Year), Anil Agarwal, Vedanta Group chairman (Entrepreneur of the Decade) and Narayanan Vaghul, former chairman, ICICI Bank (Lifetime Achievement Award).
