Congratulating the newspaper for choosing its iconic common man for the stamp, Mukherjee said that TOI was "truly representative of India's aspirations and ambitions". Communications and law minister Kapil Sibal lauded TOI for its fearlessness in criticizing the government of the day on issues that hurt the interests of the aam admi.
