Civil society groups extend solidarity with farmers protest

Members of several civil society groups took out march in solidarity with agitating farmers in several parts of India. They chanted slogans and displayed placards against the farm laws. "Farmers are the backbone of our country. So, the government should do something better for the them. I am here to extend my support to all my brothers and sisters, who are taking part in the protests at Delhi borders", a member of civil society, who didn't revealed her identity, said during a march. Thousands of farmers have been protesting against the three farm laws since more than one months. The farmer leaders and the government have held several rounds of talk without reaching on consensus.
