Coronavirus lockdown: Himachal brings back stranded students from Chandigarh

Amid coronavirus lockdown, the Himachal Pradesh government brought back hundreds of stranded students from Chandigarh. The students reached the Himachal Bhawan at Sector 28, where they boarded the buses for their native places. However, many students had trouble in reaching the Himachal Bhawan as there was no local transport facility available in the area. Amti Verma, who is from Kangra district, said, "In the wake of lockdown, there was no arrangement of local transport. It was the duty of the Himachal government to pick up students from the areas, wher they were residing." Anand Sharma, another student, said, "It was the good initiative of Himachal Pradesh government. We were facing a lot of problem in Chandigarh due to lockdown."
