Speaking for the first time about the death of farmer Gajaendra Singh during AAP's kisan rally at Jantar Mantar, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that "he made a mistake".

"I should not have gone ahead with my speech and we should have called off the rally," Kejriwal admitted. "I apologize If I have hurt people's sentiments," Kejriwal told ANI.

Kejriwal also said that he could not see what was happening on that tree. "If we had any inkling that he would do something like that, someone would have acted," Kejriwal said.
