
The pink city: Jaipur is well known for it’s pink tinged walls, to welcome Prince Albert the city was repainted in 1876 to a terracotta pink.

The silver city: Famous for its silver, ivory and brass filigree works, Cuttack is the second largest city based in Odisha. Also known as the ‘Millenium city’ the city is a hub for crafty work.

The blue city: There are many reasons for why Jodhpur is painted blue and has thus earned its name, ‘the blue city of India’. Some say it is due to religious practices and some say it is to reflect the harsh sun rays. Also known as the ‘sun city’ Jodhpur sure does receive a lot of light!

The white city: The stunning lakes and white marble is what gives Udaipur its name, one will find many Rajput style palaces here, a city built for royalty.

The golden city: Jaisalmer is known as Indian’s golden city. The yellow sandstone used in the buildings shine a golden hue over the city.
