RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son and Bihar’s former Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav got engaged to Aishwarya Rai at the five-star Hotel Maurya in Patna. The engagement ceremony was attended by close friends and family members. However, Lalu Prasad was not present at the ceremony as he is behind bars after the conviction in fodder scam. Aiswarya is a daughter of senior party leader Chandrika Rai and the granddaughter of Daroga Rai, who was the Bihar Chief Minister in 1970. She completed her schooling from Patna itself and pursued MBA course from Amity in Noida. Tej Pratap joined Nitish Kumar’s cabinet as Health Minister after winning the election from Mahua Assembly seat in 2015. But, he had to quit when Nitish Kumar broke the alliance with RJD on corruption issue.
