Eminent journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by unknown assaliants at her residence in Bengaluru. According to reports, four unidentified men opened fire when the 55-year-old journalist was getting out of her car. “We got the information just now. She was returning home. Her home is in Ideal Home Layout in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. She got down from her car and she was opening the gate when she was shot. The details are sketchy, and we are yet to know who has done it,” DGP RK Dutta said. She was an editor of a Kannada weekly magazine Gauri Lankesh Patrike. She always voiced her opinion against communal politics and caste system.
