The CBI had contended that Rs 20 crore was transferred by Jindal Steel Works (JSW) to the Trust. The controversy also includes the purchase of 1 acre 12 guntas land in Rachenahali between March-April 2006 by sons and son in law of
Yeddyurappa, when he(Yeddyurappa) was deputy chief minister. The land was part of the acquisition by BDA for Arkavathy lay out.
