The United Kingdom's Covid-19 death toll crossed 40,000 mark, raising the fingers on Prime Minister Boris Johnson's ability to handle the coronavirus crisis. According to the Office for National Statistics for England and Wales, 38,289 people died as of May 3. Since then, at least 2,251 people lost their life due to pandemic in English hospitals, crossing the tally over 40,000. The data from different sources revealed that the Britain is among those countries hit worst by the coronavirus that killed more than the worst hit countries 285,000 people across the world. Prime Minister Johnson issued new guidelines to preempt the pandemic. He also announced some packages for the tottering economy, which is going through a record slowdown.
