Napoleon Bonaparte was a short heighted man. However, in reality he was taller than the average Frenchman of the nineteenth century. The myth came into existence due to the difference between the measurement units as the French inch was 2.71 centimetres, while an Imperial inch was 2.54 centimetres. After Napoleon’s death, his height was recorded as five feet two inches using French units, although it was 5.6 inches based on Imperial units.
