Indian team reaches England for World Cup 2019

The Indian cricket team departed for London two weeks before their first World Cup match against South Africa. The team landed in London on May 22 for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Prior to their first match against South Africa on June 5, India will face New Zealand in their first practice match on May 25. Virat Kohli spoke to the media before the team's departure for England. He said that the team has to put in more hours of practice as they need to be ready for their match against South Africa on June 5. "We have 4 games straight up. We have no room for complacency and that's why it's the World Cup. You have to arrive on the first-day match-ready and that is the challenge. All the top football clubs in the world maintain their intensity right from day one for 3-4 months, be it the Premier League or the La Liga," said the captain of the Indian team. Former captain MS Dhoni will be featuring in his fourth World Cup; considering his brilliant performance in the IPL this year we hope the batsman continues to maintain his form for the World Cup. India had won the World Cup in 1983 in England and in 2011 at home and once again the entire nation eagerly waits for them to bring home the trophy this year.
