IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 3 runs, see pictures

MS Dhoni's late surge went in vain as Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a three-win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The IPL 2023 clash held at Chepauk on Wednesday saw a half-century from Jos Buttler, followed by two-wicket hauls from Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal that guided RR to victory. Chasing a target of 176, CSK were restricted to 172 for 6 as Sandeep Sharma nailed two perfect blockhole deliveries to keep Dhoni (32 off 17 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (25 off 15 balls) under check. "The bowlers kept their cool at the end and bowled really well, we also held on to our catches. I don't have good memories at Chepauk, never won here and wanted to win today," Dhoni said in the post-match presentation ceremony. CSK will next face the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) while RR's next match is against Gujarat Titans (GT).
