Trinidad and Tobago defeated Titans by six runs in a rain-interrupted CLT20 tie at Motera, keeping their hopes alive of a semifinal berth from Group B.

T&T are now tied with Titans with eight points but are ahead with a better run rate. Moreover, T&T have one more match to go against Chennai Super Kings in New Delhi on October 2 whereas Titans have completed all their league matches. Now if T&T don't go down to CSK miserably and lose out to Titans on run rate, they are through even in the case of a defeat.

Sunrisers Hyderabad with four points from three games had a definite chance of coming into the equation if their match against Brisbane Heat would not have been washed out. But with the match being abandoned without a ball being bowled due to huge puddles of water on the outfield, both teams shared the spoils. Hyderabad, with six points, and Heat, with two points, are now out of the picture.

But just when the tie was approaching the final leg with Titans going well at 153/6 in the 17th over, a squall blew away all possibility of any further play. According to Duckworth Lewis, T&T were six runs ahead of the Titans at that stage.
